Similar to the original italian manufacture SGS compensators these are not exact copies and may not match if you own an original.
Made from 7075-T651 aerospace alloy aluminum with the barrel seat precision machined directly into the compensator body.
This design takes advantage of the properties of the high strength aluminum alloy to
eliminate the restrictive pin-holed bushing used to protect the soft aluminum of the original italian compensators from
excessive erosion, getting more work from the compensator.
For those who want to stick to the classic pin-holed bushing design, we offer the option of the pin-holed bushing safely press-fit and pinned
If you shoot several times your pistols cost in ammo every year this is a minor investment in extending the life of the compensator
If, like me, you occasionally shoot a couple hundred rounds on the weekend, baffle erosion is not going to be an issue, and I
prefer the performance and low maintenance of the all-alluminum model.
